Saifiyah Senior Secondary School --- Mini Marathon
Saifiyah senior secondary school, MOHAMMEDIYAH (Galiakot) had arranged a Mini Marathon race on Thursday 14th January, 2010.
The participants were divided into Senior and Junior groups, Honourable Janaab Saifuddin bhai saheb graced the occassion and flag off at the starting point, in the presence of respected Janab Aamil saheb Taizoon bhai saheb , Shk Jaffer bhai Chiklywala Head moallim M Husain bhai Saify , Fatema ben Dahodwala ( Principal ) and many other respected guests and parents.
Winners and Runners up were awarded with valuable prizes by respected Janaab Aamil saheb.

Urs Syedi Fakhruddin Shaheed update...
Shazada Abbas bhai saheb DM Presided over Syedi Fakhruddin Shaheed Urs mubarak majlis in Taherabad.
Today mumineen of Mohammediya got sharaf to do khidmat of Urs Jaman with the raza mubarak of Aqa Mola TUS.Thousands of mumineen from different parts of india (specially VAGAD BILAAD)have visited Taherabad today and will stay till tomorrow to take barakaat of Jyaarat of Syedi Fakhruddin Shaheed.
Mumineen got sharaf to do talaqqi of live audio waaz of aqa mola TUS from mumbai. Waaz was relayed for approximate one hour and urs majlis started after waaz.
Tomorrow Jaman (Lunch) will be served to all mumineen and Zaereen in Taherabad with the raza mubarak of Aqa Mola TUS.

Lunar Eclipse of 31st December 2009
There will be a partial lunar eclipse on New Year’s Eve – 31st December 2009.
The eclipse timings and areas of visibility can be seen at Fred Espenak’s Eclipse page on the NASA website – http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/LEplot/LEplot2001/LE2009Dec31P.pdf.
The eclipse will be visible throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Eastern Brazil and Australia. The extreme east and west areas of Canada and the USA will also see some of this eclipse. Europe, North & East Africa, The Middle East, Asia and West Australia will see this eclipse from beginning to end.
The total time of the eclipse is 17.17 to 21.28 (5.17pm to 9.28pm) Universal Time (GMT).
All Mumineen should abstain from eating and drinking during the eclipse and there should be no sexual intimacy in that night (or during the day of a Lunar/Solar eclipse).
It is a time when one should pray, particularly namaaz, Quran and dua.
Leisure and frivolous pursuits should be avoided.
During an eclipse pregnant women in particular should be very careful. For example they should not handle metal objects – especially sharp ones.
Nazrul Maqaam (as) and sadaqo should be offered.
Other directives with regards to things to abstain from during eclipses and other times of extreme natural events can be found in Busaheba’s Sahifa.

दाऊदी बोहरा समाज के मोहर्रम पर्व के तहत शनिवार दोपहर तीन बजे गलियाकोट दरगाह की नुर मस्जिद में सूरत के जामिया के उस्ताद शेख केजार भाई खेडी वाला की सदारत में मजलिस का आयोजन हुआ। इस दौरान इमाम हुसैन की याद में मातम मनाया गया। शेख केजार भाई ने मोमिनों को आपस में अमन-चैन से रहने की नसीहत दी। उन्होंने देश की तरक्की एवं खुशहाली के लिए जीने का आह्वान किया। मजलिस के दौरान सबीलें कमेटी की ओर से शीतल पेयजल एवं भोजन के पैकेट उपलब्ध कराए गए।
मजलीस के पहले दरगाह परिसर में शेख केजार भाई के सान्निध्य में कुरान की तिलावती व मातम के साथ जुलूस निकला। यह मुख्य दरवाजे से नुर मस्जिद पहंुचा। मोहर्रम की दसवीं के पूर्व रात्रि में मगरीब की नमाज हुई। दरगाह में जियारत कर मातम मनाते हुए खुदा से दुआ मांगी।

Fort of Galiakot (10-11th Century)...
According to the authentic historical data, the fort was built with cemented bricks and was constructed at the height of 200 feet above river Mahi’s water level during 10-11th Century. It had diameter of 2 KM with a large entrance gate, which is destructed now.
The fort had old temple, which was constructed by bricks. This temple does not have idol of any God. Now the temple has been dilapidated completely with its main portion standing alone.
The crafted walls and statues, jail and stone pillars which were use to tie elephants shows that the fort was constructed by maharajas with full planning and high investment of time as well as money.
Currently the broken idols of VISHNU and NANDI, describes that maharajas and people of that era were VESHNAV and SHEV followers.
Dilapidated pots “MRAT BHAAND (Dead Pots)” were found along side of Mahi river on fort’s bed shows the prosperity and social progress of the kingdom.
